Powerspark Lucas 35D Electronic Distributor for Late Rover V8 with Female Drive Gear and Remote Module Relocation Kit with Genuine Lucas Ignition Module.

The Powerspark D2 Distributor is a direct replacement for the Lucas 35D or 35DLM8 V8 Distributor. It comes complete with a Lucas 3-Pin Ignition Module and Powermax Red rotor arm.

This is suitable for late Rover V8s that used a Female Drive Gear. Early Rover V8 engines are classed as pre-1976, however this is not an exact science due to engines being swapped or having had the front cover converted to the later type. The gear drives the oil pump which dictates whether the gear needs to be male or female. Pre 1976 Rover V8 engines mostly use male drive gears, while Post 1976 Rover V8 engines (or early engines with a later front cover) will use a female drive gear to fit the oil pump.

This bundle is to suit later Rover V8 engines with a female drive gear.

Powerspark Electronic Ignition Kit - This kit (pre-fitted in this distributor) replaces the standard points and condenser system with a simple electronic pick up. It gives trouble free starting and smoother running to rid your classic car of ignition related maintenance issues.

Powermax Red Rotor Arm - A moulded rotor arm unit designed to be stronger and more reliable than the original riveted unit. Riveted rotor arms are known to loosen and break apart over time - the Powermax moulded arm is a no compromise replacement.

Lucas Ignition Module - Genuine Ignition Module (3 Pin). This distributor is fitted with a 3 PIN Ignition Module. If your car has a 2 PIN Ignition Module then you will require a 2 pin / 3 pin Convertor Cable (product SKU L10_long)

Remote Module Relocation Kit - Ignition Relocation Kit with Powerspark Ignition Module for V8 Distributors. The Powerspark L10_STC. Fixing plate is the same as the STC1856 relocation plate or ERR5210, and can be mounted behind the ignition coil as in some models of Land Rover. This allows the ignition module to be secured away from a heat source or that can typically cause issues with the 2 pin or 3 pin ignition modules.
