Powerspark leads on our Drag Race Engines

Hi Simon!
I dont normally write this sort of thing for a supplier. But in your case I have to make some comments. Mainly because I have been very impressed with the plug leads that you supplied for me.
Me and my Son Drag race Rover V8 engines. The engine in my MGB is supercharged and runs a small 100 shot of nitrous to make it run low 10 second 1/4 mile times. My Sons Escort is normally aspirated and runs a 250 shot of nitrous oxide. His car is a new build and has already hit an 11.6 on the 1/4 mile.

When we first started experimenting with large hits of nitrous we found that the stock Rover V8 plug leads had trouble, in fact they broke down when using the powerful MSD ignition systems that we use.

With the standard leads we found that the increased compression pressures and nitrous would tend to snub the spark out under load.

In the last few years I have been using expensive plug leads from American suppliers. But back at the end of 2011 I had managed to damage some leads a few days before a race meeting. So I got online and found your company. To be honest I was a bit dubious about spending £30 odd for a set of leads that were advertised as being as good as the £100 odd leads that I had been using previously. I was more than pleasantly surprised when I got the leads just the day before I went out last July and ran a world record in my Rover V8 powered MGB :)
The leads have performed very well ever since. And when we got my Sons 4.6 litre + nitrous Escort finished in March this year I told him to buy the same leads. Your plug leads have been a key part in Jasons engine build. He saved a shed load of cash with your leads over the "special" plug leads we would have normally used. On its shakedown passes the Escort ran 17 seconds. Since then we have just kept on adding nitrous and last week he ran an 11.6 on the 1/4 mile.
As you have probably guessed by now. We are not interested in low power / long mileage longevity. We just need a set of leads that will handle the rigours of Drag Racing where we run our engines way in excess of the designed power output.

We are both very happy with our powerspark plug leads. Mainly because they do what we need them to do on the Drag Strip. But also because they are 70% cheaper than the stuff we had to use before :)
